Flight 02 in the high mountains of Colombia proved fairly straightforward- a nice selection of terrains and landmarks along the way, great weather and plenty of navaids to feed into the radio stack before a descent over the ridge into Bogota.

Flight 03 was a slightly different experience- flying inadvertently with real-world weather meant encountering a significant storm front. High heat and humidity seemed to blunt climb performance, and by the time I reached the intermediate touch and go at Caracas the weather called for a full ILS approach.

Mindful of the mountains hidden in the clouds all along the coast I opted to continue East, only picking up the route again once I'd climbed about 8000', a detour of about 20NM or so. As the flight proceeded inland the weather cleared up nicely for a VFR arrival.

All plain sailing apart from forgetting to switch tanks and getting a polite reminder from a sputtering Engine 1...
