NOTAMS / WT2024 PIREP time format
Last post by Johan van Wyk - Oct 05, 2024, 07:45 AM
You cannot view this attachment.

When submitting a PIREP form, the time format should be as in the above example - hours:minutes

However, submitting a time in the decimal format will also be acceptable, as example 85.7

Many timers used by us only give the time in decimal minutes as this was the format used in the old world rally format.

Just as a reminder how to convert decimal minutes to hh:mm

To get the hour - 85.7 ÷ 60 = 1.4283 hours       That is 1 hour
To get the minutes - 0.4283 x 60 = 25.69 minutes That is 26 minutes

The time will be 01:26.

Feel free to post the time format of your choice, we will pick it up and correct it.

NOTAMS / Flightplans for FS9
Last post by 1161 Roy Möhlmann - Sep 14, 2024, 06:48 AM
For the benefit of FS9-users Tim / DCA2573 (WT-002) converted/corrected flight plans for FS9.
Here are his instructions
"Users should first place their aircraft at the departure airport, then select the flight plan - but not move their aircraft to the new location.  Lastly, they can start their flight normally, following the flight plan as appropriate."
Thank you, Tim.

How to get a flight plan into FS9 (FS2004)?
•   Download LittleNavMap (LNM) if not done already.
•   Download and install Plan-G: Plan-G - Plan-G v4.
•   Load the flight plan into LNM.
•   Hit File -> Export flight plan as P3D or FSX PLN.
•   Load this PLN flight plan into Plan-G.
•   Export flight plan as FS2004 flight plan.
•   Load this FS2004 flight plan into your sim.
Please, let me know if this works or if you have a better idea.

NOTAMS / Different airfield ICAO in som...
Last post by 1161 Roy Möhlmann - Sep 08, 2024, 02:39 AM
Some of the airfields that we used have a different ICAO in some of the simulators. The field itself will look the same. In the flight plan in LittleNavMap (LVM) these waypoints will show up as a little red triangle. If you wish you can right-click on the airfield icon and chose add airfield to flight plan. Then you can delete the red waypoint. Here's a list.
Flight 1: FSX: PAEG=PAEA.
Flight 2: FSX: PAKO=IKO, PAAM=AK23 (a bit over a mile west of its correct location).
             P3D: PAAM=AK23.
Flight 3: MSFS: SA15=SAWL.
Flight 7: XP11/12: RPMH=RPMY.
Roy.
