WT2023 Flight 6

Post by 026-Martyn »

Used real weather (my default) and was a pleasant flight. As I flew IFR, I did use AP a bit on this one.

this flight I failed to find LISI, nowhere it was showing, not in LNM, not in Skyvector?
Also asked IATA https://www.iata.org/en/publications/di ... earch=LISI, but also IATA has no airport named LISI

So ultimately I did follow the route shown in the available PLN file and could follow the route till a good landing at LTBP.
Nice pictures Roy

BTW I do fly FSX maybe that is the reason?

There are hundreds of airports in the world that do not have an ICOA code. Also, many once had an ICAO code in their lifetime, but lost it because it is no longer registered.

The purpose of flight plans we provide is only to serve as a guide. Each PIC must plan and execute the flight as he sees fit.

In this case, one could have used the "CROTONE 117.1 CRN" VOR to use a radial and DME distance to plot the waypoint - R325 DME53.

You fly out on the radial 325° and when your DME shows 53 nm, you know that you are now over "LISI".
