- Download the files on the Training Division page. If
you are on a dial-up ISP connection, you may want to skip the Ground
School Slide Show (40 MB) in Adobe PDF format. It is packed with great
information but is not required in order to get involved in Flight
School training. The Ground School Exam is well worth the effort and
it's only 85 kb.
- Print and Read the ENTIRE Overview
document. It will answer most questions. I don't plan to answer
questions when it is obvious you have not read this file.
- Be familiar with the aircraft and panel for the
Training Division DC-3. Fly the Lakeland (Florida, USA) local area and
become familiar with that as well.
- Download and install TeamSpeak 2 and FSNet software.
See Overview for details.
- Test TeamSpeak 2 to be sure you can log onto the
server. You will need the server address and password to do this. Send
an email to jachor@suddenlink.net
and we can send it to you.
- Contact an instructor and schedule a training
session. See the list of instructors - link on the Training Division
page.
- Both pilots (an instructor and the student) log onto
the Training Division server; then establish an FSNet connection for a
training flight. Log flying time as spelled out in the Overview
document.
