Dutch Harbor Supply Run

During the war in the Aleutians, many transport aircraft were deployed to provide support for the operations. The 54th and 42nd Troop Carrier Squadrons flew regular shuttles out of Elmendorf Field to the many Alaskan bases. The Navy Air Transport Command also sent aircraft to Alaska in support of the operations in the Aleutians. Both services also depended on commercial air carriers under contract to augment their airlift capabilities. This Charter focuses on the commercial support.
